Pump Monitoring Device (PMD)

Weir SPM's Pump Monitoring Device (PMD) was developed to allow the user to continually monitor the status of their well service pumps with real time data in an easy to read format. The PMD allows the operator to make the necessary changes during operation to minimize or prevent costly damage to pumping equipment and increase longevity of their pumps.

On a loud and hectic frac site, many problems are not always evident until it is too late and damage has been done. Through various sensors installed on the pump, the PMD provides a unique opportunity to diagnose problems such as insufficient charge pressure, discharge and suction valve failure, cavitation, as well as other issues by displaying "alarms” to notify the user of any problems as they occur.
