Refurbishment of Pakistan Steam Turbines
Weir Services Dubai secured a major contract for the
repair/refurbishment & commissioning of two AEG-Kanis Steam
Turbines at Pak American Fertilizers Ltd., Iskanderabad,
Pakistan.
The contract includes repair & refurbishment and
re-commissioning of two steam turbines including upgrade
engineering of new rotor blades & nozzle blocks with greater
emphasis on turbine performance. The alternator, exciter & AVR
will also be inspected & tested with the possible upgrade of
excitation system as well.
The two AEG-Kanis condensing type steam turbines are utilized to
meet the power generate needs of the plant.
