Weir SPM Builds It's First Manifold Trailer
In June, Weir SPM completed its first
production of a Safety Iron™ Manifold Trailer. A manifold trailer
is a high pressure manifold system, consisting of low pressure and
high pressure pipe and valves, that are permanently mounted onto a
trailer allowing the system to be transported to a well site as
needed. The manifold permits multiple frac pumps to be connected
into a single source, facilitating the high pressure fluid and
proppant mixture to be pumped into the well head during fracturing
operations. The Weir SPM manifold trailer is distinguished from
competitors in the industry through the utilization of Safety
Iron™, Weir SPM’s proven clamp connecting flow line system,
designed to increase safety on site while providing a superior
performing connection when compared to the traditional hammer union
connection. The beneficial use of Safety Iron™ in semi-permanent
applications ideally lends its self for use in the manifold
trailer.
