Service Center Grand Opening in Longview, Texas

“What took you so long to open here?” was the response from the majority of the Oil Service Company customers during an open house held in June. The new Longview, Texas branch has drawn the attention and praise of all eight service companies located in the area.

On June 18 Weir SPM hosted a Grand Opening celebration at its Longview, TX facility in East Texas. Over 250 customers from the area were invited to join members of the Weir SPM team for barbeque and door prizes, and to tour the new facility. Products such as the Safety Hammer, Safety Iron and Flow Line Safety Restraint System were displayed in the shop as well. The new 8,500 sq. ft. facility in Longview is centrally located for the East Texas customers, and is a welcomed source of recertification services by the local well service companies.

In an effort to increase its geographic presence with its customer base, Weir SPM has begun implementing plans to open new service facilities around the world, aimed to facilitate a quick response capability for customer needs. These service facilities will offer flow control recertification, new product sales, pump repair in select locations, and other post-sale support services.

Longview is located within an hour’s drive of Bossier City, the hub for the recently discovered Haynesville Shale which covers northwest Louisiana. This shale may rival the Barnett Shale in quality and size.
